This set was commissioned by 1XRUN, its sold out on their website but I have a couple so send me a message if you want one. Based in Detroit, Michigan, 1XRUN (one-time run) is the world's leading publisher of fine art, and a top online destination for original art and artist editions. The set comes with the car and 3 cats for you to arrange as you please.
I designed, sculpted and painted a prototype of the set in my studio in México City. reproductions were hand carved and painted in San Martín Tilcajete; one of the three towns known for their tradition of hand carved figures commonly referred to as "Alebrijes". The reproduction process was led by artisan Jose Alberto Fuentes and his wife Fanny.
I also got to design the package and a little print that comes with the set, both which I think turned out pretty nice.
